Linguistics in Arabia Conference (LAC) is a biennial international conference organized by The Department of European Languages and Literature at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The 1st Linguistics in Arabia Conference (LAC 1) will be held on December 4-5, 2013 corresponding to 1-2-1435 and 2-2-1435 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Linguistics in Arabia Conference aims to provide a platform for linguists in the Arabian Peninsula and beyond to present and share their research findings on different aspects of Arabic linguistics.

The conference welcomes papers on theoretical and applied issues of Arabic Linguistics with particular focus on the linguistics of Peninsular Arabic. The range of topics include: linguistic analysis (phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics), sociolinguistics, language variation and change and applied linguistics, first language acquisition and second language acquisition.
